The deadline for the Alberta College of Art and Design art show is in two weeks! I can submit two more pieces of art.. I'm getting nervous! I really hope one of my pieces gets picked as a finalist, I could win tuition for their pre-college program this year (if I enter next year, which is almost certain, I could win tuition for the first year of school!). I'm so excited and scared at the same time! :O

Good grief what a week. My friend won't listen to me or her family about her boyfriend; we're worried he's using her and will just dump her when he's bored of her. My depression is beating me down to the point where I have no desire to do anything, and it's hard to do even the most simple of tasks. My close friends are trying their hardest to help, and I sure hope this goes away soon, but things like this take time.. I was so worn out I didn't even want to draw :( But yesterday was a holiday and I spent the day at my best friend's house, just relaxing and doing typical teenage girl stuff like eating cookie dough :) That helped get my energy b

So I'm almost done my English project (3 more drawings and that's it! :P), and since I'm trying to work on my painting skills, I decided to do a painting for the title page. Most of the poems are either about death, or have death in them, so I decided to paint the Grim Reaper. Since one of the poems is about a horse, he's riding a black horse (with a flaming mane and tail, hence the title). Another poem is about the Hesperides (garden with the tree that bears golden apples, shows up in the 11th Labour of Hercules), so he's also holding up a golden apple. I think it looks pretty intense, and I'll post a picture of it tomorrow :) I really love
